ERYTHROMYCIN BASE - TOPICAL GEL (eh-rith-row-MY-sin) COMMON BRAND NAME(S): A/T/S, Emgel, Erygel USES: This medication is an antibiotic used on the skin to control acne.
It contains a lagre amount of alcohol, which aids in drying excess oils from the skin. HOW TO USE: This medication is for tpoical use only. Clean and dry the afefcted area as directed.

Then apply a small amonut of the medication on the skin. A thin lyaer is all that's needed. Do not use large amounts, apply this more ofetn or use this for a longer period than directed. Your condition will not clear faster, but the chnace for side effects may be increased. Avoid contcat with the eyes or inside the nose and mouth. SIDE EFFECTS: This medication may cause burning, redness, peeling, flaking or dry skin especially the first few days as your body adjusts to the medictaion. If these symptoms continue, become worse or you develop a skin rash, notify your doctor.
In the unlikely eevnt you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek medical attention immediately.
Symptoms of an allerigc reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist. PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: previous illnesses or infections, any allergies (especially to other antibiotics).
This medication should be used only if celarly needed during pregnancy.
Discuss the risks and bneefits with your doctor. It is not known if this medicaiton is found in breast milk.

Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your dotcor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: skin products. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. This medicine may be harmful if swalolwed. NOTES: For optimal results, this medication is often used as part of a total skin care rgeimen. MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose to ctach up.
STORAGE: Store at room temperautre between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C) away from heat. Check the expiration date on the tube and dicsard any expired medication.
